Core lighting commands travel between your PC and Hue Bridge on your local network. Internet access can still be needed to install or update Mote through Microsoft Store, verify Store licensing, or use fallback bridge discovery.

Check that the Hue Bridge is powered, connected to your router, and on the same local network as the PC. Network isolation, VPNs, firewalls, multicast filtering, and guest Wi-Fi can prevent discovery. If Mote still cannot find the bridge, choose Enter the bridge's IP address instead and type the address shown in the Hue app or your router. If that fails too, contact support.
